The 23rd All India Major Port Cultural Meet 2023–24, held at Jayadev Sadan, finally came to an end last evening. Paradip Port Authority, along with the Major Ports Sports Control Board, successfully organised the Cultural Extravaganza. Gracing the valedictory function as Chief Guest, Shri P.L. Haranadh, Chairman, PPA, thanked the participants for entertaining the people of Port Township for the last four days.
Shri Nilabhra Dasgupta, Dy Chairman, PPA, and Smt. P. Girija Sundari, President, Paradip Ladies Club, were guests of honor. Around 200 participants from 10 major ports across the country participated in the cultural meet.
Team JNPA was crowned the overall champion. SMPA won the runner-up award, and MBPA won the second runner-up award. Shri Shuvendra Kumar Sethy, PPA, bagged the 1st prize in the instrumental music category. Smt.Swarnalata Tripathy of PPA won the Best Supporting Artist (Female) award. Shri D.N. Sondhi, Chairman, Organizing Committee, presided over the proceedings. Capt. A.C.Sahoo, Vice Chairman, Organizing Committee; Dr. D.P. Sethy, Secretary, Shri Rabi Dash, Co-ordinator; & Shri Ranjan Rashmi Beura, Jt. Secretary of the Organizing Committee, were also present. Shri Sriman Narayan Mishra, DTM, PPA, compeered the program.
